NOMINATIONS FOR BOWIE STAKES CLOSE OCT. 15 LAUREL, Md., Oct 9. Josph B. Boyle, general manager of the Southern Maryland Agricultural Association, who recently returned from his vacation in the Canadian Adirondacks, wishes to call the attention of horsemen to the closing of the Bowie Stakes which will be run at the Prince George Park plant during the meeting from November 12 to 28. Nominations for the Bowie Claiming Stakes, Prince George Autumn Handicap, Endurance Handicap, Thanksgiving Handicap, Marlboro Claiming Stakes, and the Bryan and OHara Handicap close 1 Thursday, October 15.
