KEENELAND PARK NOTES e The only older horses J. C. Gillem has here are King Carl, Red Raider and Golden Ariel. Gillem is prepping six two-year-olds for various owners. Names have been accepted for two Gillem is training for Dixie McKinley, one for David Knox, and three for the Ricdinger Bros. Mr. Dines, a bay colt, by Hi Jack Infinele, and Mr. Scott, a gray colt by Kiev, are the McKinley pair, while the name for the chestnut filly, by Supremus, owned by Knox has not been accepted as yet. The Riedinger trio are Play Reen, a chestnut filly, by Blind Play Lu-reen; Tilly Kate, bay filly, by Draymond Teak, and the third a chestnut gelding, by Draymont Glide. The only two-year-old in the J. W. Par-rish outfit trained by J. G. Goode, which has not started, is the brown colt, by Rolled Stocking Myrtle Dee, which has been named The Whale. Saket, a two-year-old bay colt, by Pom-pey Hilaria, owned by Leah Taliaferro, is the only horse in the Jack Howard barn that is not raced in his wifes name. M. J. Schmitt unloaded seven, and George S. Morris came in with two horses Saturday morning. Both shipments came from Louisville. Howard Oots, local breeder, received word Monday his seventy-six-year-old brother, W. E. Oots, succumbed at Atlanta, Ga. The remains will be shipped to Lexington for burial. Headed by the older Introductory, Geo. Gable and Col. Julian, the rest of the H. H. Battle stable is made up of two well bred two-year-olds, Heralda, a bay filly, by Sir Gallahad Herald, and Sales Girl, also a bay filly, by Brown Bud Lady Manager. C. N. Finch wired he was shipping four here from Hot Springs Tuesday. The veteran, Joe Rosen, arrived from Columbia, S. C, and reported to trainer G. R. Miller, who has the Kentucky Derby candidate, Grey Gold, in training at Keeneland. Rosen will have the mount on the son of Sir Greysteel in the Derby, should he qualify for the classic. Henry C. Wolfe registered Appealing, Aukai and Smart Girl, which race for L. J. Leppcrs Motor City Stable and the two-year-old Montague, winner of three races at Oak-lawn Park that runs in his own colors. Wolfe sent Port au Prince, Miss Horton and Front Fender to the W. C. Goodloe farm to be rested for several weeks. The rest of the stable, consisting of eight others, was shipped to Beulah Park Monday. Jockey Robert Haber arrived from New Orleans and reported to trainer A. C. Det-weiler, who has twelve horses in training for Mrs. B. Franzheim at the Lexington trotting track. Tom B. Young transferred four two-year-olds and three older horses to the trotting track Tuesday. Harry Warner shipped seven horse3 to Beulah Park Tuesday morning. They were in training at the trotting track. Tommy Oliphant, dean of midwestern dockers, came over from Louisville and will remain for the rest of the meeting. Dr. R, S. McGinnis made an x-ray of Robert Lees broken leg Tuesday. The former jockey, who fell from Islam, at Jack Howards Rockwood Farm last week, is reported as doing nicely. The Valdina Farms shipment, consisting of eleven head, was unloaded Tuesday morning at Keeneland by trainer J. J. Flanni-gan. In the shipment were Eagle Pass, Solar Hawk, Tedall, Night Bandit, Valted, Lassator, Roy T., Teddys Comet. Hermana, and Warring Lady. Accompanying Flanni-gan here were apprentice C. sMinner- and jockey M. Marcy.
