ASSIGN EXECUTIVE OFFICERS William A. Quigley to Be Director of Earing at San Diegos New Del Mar Course. LOS ANGELES, Calif., April 13. The executive officers who will have charge of the Del Mar track are being assigned, and the new Southern California plant seems certain of being well officered. William A. Quigley will be a director of racing. He served as a presiding steward at Santa Anita in the absence of C. J. FitzGerald, and prior to that he acted as steward at other California tracks. Bill Tunney, who was assistant superintendent of operation at Santa Anita, has taken over the general managership of Del Mar. Tunney acquired some fame as an athlete while at Loyola. Ed Dean, who was one of Mort Shaws lieutenants at Santa Anita, will have charge of the pari-mutuel department. Michael Mahoney is director of publicity.
