MICHELL RESIGNS AS DENEMARK TRAINER t . 4 HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., April 13. Bert S. Michell, suspended trainer of the horses of Mrs. Emil Denemark and Elmer Dale Shaffer, who came under the ban of the Florida Racing Commission when it was learned that a saliva test of the horse All Round, which raced on March 23 at Tropical Park, showed a positive reaction to strychnine, today tendered his resignation as trainer of the horses of Mrs. Denemark. His written resignation, forwarded to the Chicago sportswoman, read as follows: "It is with regret that I tender you my resignation as trainer of your horses, to take effect this day. "Owing to the charges against me with the Florida Racing Commission at the present time and pending their decision and results, I feel it would be a detriment to your interests and your horses to remain in your employ under the present circumstances. "I remain, yours respectfully, Signed "BERT S. MICHELL." Michell made it known that he would depart for Florida to appear before the committee to face the charge placed against him. June Johnson, who has been in temporary charge of the horses since the suspension of Michell became effective, will continue to condition the horses of Mrs. Denemark until another trainer has been appointed.
