KENTUCKY OAKS ENTRIES Fifty-Five Entries Received for ,000 Added Filly Race to Be Run Saturday, May 15. LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 13. Like the Kentucky Derby and the Clark Handicap, the Kentucky Oaks mile and a furlong test for three-year-old fillies will be staged for the sixty-third time during the nineteen-day meeting, which opens at Churchill Downs, May 1. The Oaks will be run on the third Saturday of the" meeting, May 15 and for ,000 in added money and a large and representative field is expected to be mustered from the fifty-five fillies, which were nominated for it. The Oaks last year was won by Two Bob, owned by Cv V. Whitney, who this year nominated Peplum for the race. Other formidable racing stables which have entries among the large list of nominations are Belair Stud, Calumet Farm, Greentree Stable, A. B. Hancock, H. P. Headley, H. Maxwell Howard, Milky Way Farm, Shandon Farm, Southland Stable, F. P. Letellier, Oddcsa Farm, Tall Trees Stable, Three Ds Stock Farm and Woolford Farm.
