SEEKS BEULAH PARK PRIZE Trainer Eslick Names Miss Ginbar for Inaugural Handicap at Popular Columbus Track. COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 13. First nomination for the Inaugural Handicap, which will feature the opening program of the twenty-five day spring race meeting at Beu-lah Park on Saturday, May 15, comes from trainer Ernie Eslick. From Arlington Downs, where he is campaigning an able string, he has named Miss Ginbar. This fleet four-year-old filly, which is owned by E.- N. Thompson, won eleven races last year and has entered the winners circle on several occasions this season. Others in the stable that Eslick will bring to Beulah Park include Evangelist, Jolyon and the veteran Forget Not Jockey G. I Smith, who was one of the leading ridera here last fall, will accompany the stable. Recent arrivals at the course include Rollie Shepp, who brought the four-year-old Dark Wizard, and Mint Flavor and Idealistic, both three-year-olds, from Florida. Stanley Stafford unloaded Game, Urchin and others, coming from New Orleans. Selection has been made of the device which will be used to photograph the finishes at Beulah Park. The most recent development of the Electronic Control Corp., of Detroit, will be installed. Rapid progress is being made on the 00,-000 program of improvements at the course. Work on the grandstand practically has been completed except for the painting. The new clubhouse will be under roof this week.
