HAVRE DE GRACE NOTES $ T. B. Martins White Cockade, hero of the Withers Stakes, and W. M. Jeffords Matey, winner of the Pimlico Futurity, were given barrier education at Havre de Grace, Tuesday morning. Jockey Eddie Arcaro joined the riding colony and will remain for several days. William Mulholland arrived with eleven members of the Brandywine Stable, which included Broad Kill and Bull Whip, candidates for the Chesapeake and Aberdeen Stakes. Kenneth Gilpin, well known breeder of Virginia, sold the two-year-old Deep End to the Paragon Stable for a private consideration. Trainer Mose Simon received the felicitations of many of his friends upon becoming the father of a baby boy who arrived Sunday morning. The nominations to the Baltimore Spring Handicap, ,000 added, for three-year-olds and over, at six furlongs, and the Pimlico Nursery, for two-year-olds, with ,500 added, both events to be run Saturday, May 1, close Thursday, April 15. Schooling over the steeplechase course at Pimlico will be held Wednesday, April 21; Saturday, April 21, and Tuesday, April 27. The large clubhouse at Pimlico will open Monday, April 26, to receive guests. E. S. Welter and a crew furnished by starter James Milton schooled the new crop of two-year-olds in the string of A. G. Van-derbilt at Sagamore Farm Tuesday morning. Donald Hay, who served as one of the key men in the operation of the mutuel department at Hot Springs, joined the crew here. Alexandra, trainer of the Cosgrave Stable, has had the firing irons applied to the good three-year-old Danarco and expects that the promising colt will be ready for racing with the opening of the Hamilton Jockey Club meeting in Hamilton, Ont.
