DETROIT TURF NOTES s i Revelstoke was ordered withdrawn from the eighth race Wednesday when it was found he was not eligible.. Blackthorn was; excused from the same race on account of lameness. Otto Bagley, trainer of the Blue Ridge Farm Stable, notified the Detroit management that he would bring Cardarrone, a Wolverine Handicap eligible, and three other horses from Chicago Friday morning. Jockey Frank Grill, who was injured when Lucky Foot bolted and tossed him into the center field last week, plans oh resuming riding Thursday. E. W. Duffys Grey Gold left by van for Washington Park, where he will fill his engagement in the American Derby. Joe Rosen will ride him and both horse and rider will return here Sunday. Moody Jolly purchased the venerable Bill Lutz from William Lutz. Terms of the sale were private. Fred Estes will give Earl Driver, a product of Lufkin, Texas, his first mount Thursday. The boy is sixteen years old and scales at 100 pounds. Pat McCabe, who has been very successful with the horses he trains for Mrs. Henry Dattner, became the father, of an eight pound girL She was christened Constance Ann and both baby and mother are doing nicely! R. T. Shepp brought Mystic Sign, Weapon, Bob Lee, Easy Go and Mint Flavor from Beulah Park. Apprentice M. Berger and J. Atkinson had their first mounts of the meeting. L. V. Bellew, Sr., arrived from his home at Latonia for a visit with his son L. V. Bel-lew, Jr., who trains for J. W. Barnes.
