The .latter, hustled into a good lead early, gave way when challenged but came again near the end. MISS JOKER worked her way forward through the field, was guided to the outside after offering a mild bid near the last eighth and held, on well. KING KELLY had no mishaps but needed the race. SUNCIRCLE BLAZE quit badly after reaching the lead near the final quarter. GOLD STANDARD made up ground on the outside. URCHIN was outrun. Scratched 42841 Georgia Meaden, 102. FITKIN, cleverly handled and steadied along on the outside, moved up fast after reaching the stretch, wore SEQUOIA down in the final eighth and won with something to spare. The latter, hustled along from the start, subdued SERVANT PRIDE after five-eighths, was unable to draw clear, failed to withstand the winner, but held DARK ROAMER safe. The latter raced wide when improving his position, but finished strongly. SIOUX CHIEF held op well. WISE DORA lost ground throughout. SERVANT PRIDE, used up in pacemaking, quit under pressure. SMART GIRL took command at once, established a good advantage rapidly, saved ground throughout, faltered slightly nearing the final three-sixteenths post, came again under stong urging and outfinished SIR-GAY. The latter, a strong factor from the start, swung wide entering the stretch, came again when straight, just failed to get up and finished in a dead heat with BILLY MOLE. The latter, hustled along from the start and in close quarters at the far turn, came again after being pinched back and finished with SIRGAY. SLIPPERY JIM, outrun early, closed with a rush on the outside. " KERMAY unseated his rider and broke his bridle while at the post, came over sharply at the far turn and tired in the last stages. BISCAYNE BLUE, outrun early, was sent to the outside at the stretch turn, was permitted to bear over sharply when improving his position and, thusly benefited, closed with a rush. NAD, hustled along from the start, reached the lead on the outside nearing the final quarter was unable to draw clear and tired thereafter. LADY SYBIL, hustled to the front on the inside, was unable to hold the lead and gave way rapidly in the last eighth. GENE WAGERS was knocked back when BISCAYNE BLUE came over. DOLAWAY showed little.
