SUGAR DADDY went to the front at once and, given a breathing spell after going half the distance, withstood the challenge of GUINEA LAW and was going away at the finish. GUINEA LAW dashed up to the winner on the back stretch but was unable to head him, faltering near the end, although easily holding the others safe. LONGWOOD JR. tired near the end and barely lasted to hold BELL OF IRON. The latter finished well. SIMON LAD could not run in the going and was pulled up when badly beaten. . OLIN J. was outrun by PRINCESS QUEEN in the early part but continued gamely next to the rail and wearing down the latter in the stretch, had enough left to hold BESS COT. The latter made a strong move in the last quarter and was going well at the finish. PRINCESS QUEEN drew away from OLIN J after leaving the back stretch to open up a good lead but tired near the end. CAREFUL KITTY raced wide on the stretch turn, but went fairly well to the finish. PAT BANE closed Some ground. WHO SAID went to the front at once to set a good pace in the going but bore out badly in the stretch to carry STAR ROYAL with her. MAN OF IRON showed a fair effort and was going fairly well at the end. BLINKEM made up some ground. FOOLHARDY quit badly. The others were never dangerous.
