t AGAWAM TURF NOTES s The further entry of the four-year-old filly Dreamy Isle, in the stable of Miss Marie Krug, has been ordered refused for the remainder of the meeting at Agawam Park. This ruling was handed down after the running of the third race Wednesday, in which the filly was a starter, and the reason given was unsoundness. William Almy, Jr., steward representing the Massachusetts Racing Commission at Agawam, is scheduled to leave for Suffolk Downs late Thursday to represent that body in the stand during the remainder of the meeting at East Boston. Miss P. Lee acquired the six-year-old mare Lady Pal from O. W. Ackerman for a private consideration and has retained Ackerman as trainer. Trainer W. Russell reports that the platej My Kentucky, a scheduled starter in the sixth race Wednesday, went lame while being "blown out" for his engagement and received permission to withdraw the seven-year-old. Racing secretary M. C. Shea stated that the value of the Clinton Handicap, originally set at ,000, to be run as the feature attraction at a mile and one-sixteenth on Saturday, would be raised to ,200 should enough entries be secured to fill the race properly. The number is for three-year-olds and over. The apprentice allowance on Dixie Bee in the second race Wednesday and Bo Dean in the eighth race were waived with permission of the stewards, and both of the horses picked up five pounds additional in weight Nimule, in the stable of Miss H. J. Sauer, was reported to be running a temperature and was excused from the second race on Wednesday. Jockey W. C. Huff rode his first winner when he won on Swift Queen at Agawam Park Tuesday. Jockey F. Licata, lightweight apprentice, donned silks for the first time at Agawam Park on Wednesday. John Davis, who served in an official capacity at Narragansett Park, is serving as clerk of the scales since James Ross departed for Delaware Park. Davis is also act-ping as placing judge.
