EMERSON DAVIS REINSTATED NEW YORK, N. Y., June 16. The New York State Racing Commission has directed the restoration, as of June 15, to good standing of Emerson Davis, the trainer who was suspended last year in connection with the stimulation of the horse Shoeless Joe, owned by Conn Smythe. His suspension followed an investigation based on saliva tests which established that coramine had been administered to the horse. The action was taken on a race run on August 18, 1936, "from which lime he has been under suspension.
