Start good and slow for all but Play Book and Trajectory. Won driving; second and third the. same. LORRAINE S., a forward factor at the start, came to the outside entering the stretch, closed willingly, wore down KAWAGOE, then, bearing in, had KAWAGOE in close quarters in the final strides. KAWAGOE followed in close attendance of the pace the first half mile, took command when straightened away for the drive and was annoyed nearing the finish when the winner bore in and had to be taken up sharply just beyond the finish line. CARELESS KNIGHT closed willingly and outfinished OUR HOBBY. The latter, well placed throughout, had no mishaps. TRAJECTORY, away slowly, closed a big gap. VANISHED quit badly after setting the early pace.. CREME DE MENTHE tired badly. PLAY BOOK was away slow and raced in dull fashion. CENTERMARCH forced the pace from the start, moved up threateningly in the last eighth, then faltered nearing the end. CEALLAIGH, well placed throughout, could not threaten the leaders under punishment. ABERCROMBIE went evenly "in a good effort. ALCODEMA made up ground. GINGERY was away slowly and closed a good gap. SASS was away slowly. CONTRIBUTE quit badly in the last eighth. SUE JONES had early speed. The latter forced he pace from the start, raced well through the final eighth and just failed to get up. SUGAR JAR was well placed throughout and had no excuses. MASONVILLE rushed through the. final eighth on the inside and closed a good gap. ARDAWN was well placed thrroughout and had no mishaps. PATSY SWEEP went evenly. HEATHER ROSE quit badly.
