EARLY EVENING, close up from the start, responded to urging in the stretch run and outlasted JACK BE NIMBLE in the. final drive. JACK BE NIMBLE moved into command after rounding the turn, responded to urging but hung at the end. FAR NORTH bore out steadily to the inside after the break, then came again at the finish. ARCH FIEND bore out sharply and finished on the extreme outside through the final quarter mile. JACKSAW was bumped by AGOTARAS at the start and knocked out of contention. WEARY FLOWER raced evenly throughout. GERT B. had a flash of early speed, then quit. MY DEBUT faltered under pressure. AGOTARAS bolted to the inside at the start. SEED broke slowly and was outrun. MARC AURELE II. jumped well and kept close to the pace throughout, responded to urging in the final eighth, bore over on GRAIN DE CAFE and then drew away. The latter was taken under restraint the first mile, moved, up gamely when called upon, and finished well. FLYING FALCON was taken back when outrun, worked his way up steadily and finished, with determination. JOLIE KNIGHT outran his field from the start, was rated along steadily, but quit when challenged. HAREM HONEY lost ground at the turns. WHITE LIGHTNING was outrun and could not menace the leaders when called upon. KNOCK-NAMOOR .showed speed for the first mile. SOBRANTE was outrun. DOTHAIR quit badly and was not persevered with. SUNNYSHORE was rushed into command after the start, showed high speed and held her opposition safe, to the end. SUN FLO worked her way up on the outside and closed resolutely but was bearing but at the end, LOURDES, in near pursuit of the early pace, swerved to the inside "under urging, but came again under pressure at the end. RIPPLES finished well from a slqw start. MAHLETTE showed an even effort throughput. SUN KINCSEN closed resolutely. ROOM SERVICE began slowly and was outrun. BAIL- OUT had no mishaps. IDLE MIDGET raced well throughout. WHIZZAWAY quit badly in the last quarter mile. DEFLATE had no mishaps. SHINING SUN was outrun. PLAY CHANCE broke in a tangle. Scratched 42907 Deduce, 117. LUCKY LIGHT slipped through on the inside, was rated along steadily, but quit under urging in the stretch run. PASTRY was outrun to the stretch turn, came to the outside and finished well. MISS DIGNITY raced freely from the start, saved ground entering the stretch and escaped interference drawine away. LIGHT was away in a tangle but improved her position steadily on the outside, bore over sharply inside the eighth post and annoyed RIP VAN WINKLE and ILCHESTER, then closed fast. She was disqualified for fouling. RIP VAN WINKLE was under restraint the first part, moved up when called upon and Was going fast when interfered with. ILCHESTER was blocked entering the stretch and was under pressure when annoyed inside the eighth post. UNDULATE was kept forwardly from the start, saved ground and was under. pressure when quitting. BRINDLE had early speed but quit badly in the stretch run.
