LITTLE DINAH took command at once, drew clear in the first three-sixteenths, was rated along in front, responded well when placed under punishment and held HIGH TORQUE safe. The latter, steadied along back of the leaders, responded willingly to pressure and finished with good enrgy. BONNIE PAN, followed in closest attendance of the early pacemaker, held on well to the end, although unable to close any ground under punishment. COYA was away well but lacked speed to maintain her position, dropping back through the first quarter mile, moved up gradually thereafter and was going stoutly at the close. ORPHAN LASS was in the first flight throughout. CONSISTENT lacked her usual early speed and was outrun throughout. Start good and slow for all but Notice Me. Won driving; second and third the same. BEVEAU moved up steadily after reaching the back stretch, took command when the early pacemaker began tiring and, drawing clear, had enough left to hold safely the closing bid of NOTICE ME. The latter dwelt when the sart came, trailed the field into the back stretch and finished gamely through the stretch run. He was probably best as the race was run. MR. BUN was restrained early, began bettering his position nearing the far turn, moved up threateningly nearing the stretch but hung in the closing drive. TWO EDGED closed some ground. LONG BIT was away slowly, closed some ground, although never able to enter contention. SLEEK was well placed early but tired in the drive. FLAMING TORCH displayed good speed for a half mile. JODA faltered in the last quarter mile. ERNIE MANZER had brief early speed. SISTER POLLY was steadied along back of the leaders, responded well when called upon, passed SURE CLOUD and, hard ridden at the end, lasted to hold LADY INFINITE safe. The latter, taken back off the early pace, moved through on the inside at the stretch turn and closed energetically. SURE CLOUD went to the front in the opening eighth, drew away into a good lead and, although holding on willingly, was unable to keep pace when challenged. BLOOMER GIRL lacked her usual early speed but closed speedily after being well back in the opening three-eighths. NOTORIETY forced the early pace but tired in the drive. PATROLITE displayed good speed in the pace-making and fought it out with good energy to the end, just failing to last. HOLLUSCHICKIE was prominent all the way, continued to race well to the end and just lost the place in the closing strides. EASTPORT was well placed for the first seven-eighths, but quit through the last eighth of a mile. PORCELLUS displayed good speed for three-quarters, tiring thereafter from her efforts in trying to overtake the winner. SOUND ADVICE, was outrun throughout. The latter, restrained until leaving the back stretch, responded gamely to urging and fought it out willingly to the end. HARRYS DREAM swung to the outside when reaching the stretch and finished fast on the outside. BUGLE CALL outran his field to the first turn, was rated along in front, only to falter in the last quarter mile. CORKER never could threaten the leaders, although closing some" ground. ZOR was never prominent. MORE POISE had early speed. DAME GRUNDY started slowly, raced wide on the first turn, moved up fast when straightened out on the back stretch, took the lead on the lower turn, drew away after going three-quarters, but was tiring at the end and doing her best to hold MADAME J. The latter lacked early speed, saved ground in the stretch and finished gamely. WELL BUILT, allowed to drop far back in the first half mile, raced to the outside while moving up, but hung in the final drive. LOCKET showed early speed, raced MADDOX into the stretch, but tired badly in the closing eighth. CHAGRIN showed a good effort. MADDOX quit badly. Scratched 43142 Googie, 111. The latter, far back in the early running, moved up gamely in the final quarter mile, finished fast and was wearing the winner down at the end. MUSCLE IN rushed into the lead at the first turn, drew away on the back stretch, but tired in the last eighth. FURLED FLAG showed early speed but tired badly. HOME WORK was interfered with when KAYAK lost his rider and was always far back. KAYAK stumbled shortly after the break and lost his rider. Overweight Home Work, 1 pound.
