NEDAYR GIVEN TOP WEIGHT Kilmer Star Assigned 126 Pounds for Stuyvesant Handicap at Jamaica Saturday. JAMAICA, N. Y., April 19 Willis Sharpe Kilmers Nedayr has been made top weight for the Stuyvesant Handicap, the six furlongs feature of the week-end racing at Jamaica. The son of Neddie Sunayr is asked to take up his scale weight of 126 ! pounds, which is in accord with the new weight rule requiring handicaps to start at the scale. Under this impost the colt is rated six pounds better than anything else, and there are three Lancashire, Pumpkin and Shoulder Arms under 120 pounds. Of these, each, with the exception of Pumpkin, is engaged in the Wood Memorial, which is the best prize of the meeting for the three-year-olds. The Kilmer colt has been going along exceedingly well for Crawford at Belmont Park since his arrival on Long Island, and he will probably be seen under silks. There is less chance for the next three in the weights going to the post. TRIO UNDER 119. Then, just a pound under, comes Cant Wait, Sir Raleigh and Stormscud, each under 119 pounds. Of these, Stormscud, which races for the Wheatley Stable, was winner the opening day of the meeting and he is fit and ready. Cant Wait has been showing speed in his trials at Belmont Park, and Sir Raleigh had a seasoning by winter racing. Lavengro, now at Bay Meadows, and the Greentree Stables Redbreast, are at 118 pounds, and the last-named is the main hope of the stable for the Kentucky Derby. The son of Chicle Robins Egg is slated to start in both the Stuyvesant and the Wood Memorial, after which he will be sent to Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby. He has been going along nicely for Brennan at Belmont Park and a recent mile in 1:42 indicated his readiness for silks. The weights scale down to 100 pounds, and indications are that both a large and representative lot will be seen under silks at post time. Weights for the Stuyvesant Handicap are as follows: Horse.
