BAY MEADOWS FUTURITY SAN MATEO, Calif., April 19. Nominations are now being taken for the 1940 Bay Meadows Futurity, which will mark the third running of that event. The race will have a value of at least 0,000, is open to colts and fillies bred any place in the world, and nomination blanks, which will be off the press in a couple of weeks, will be mailed to Australia, South America, England, France, Canada and other countries. The nominations close about mid-September of this year, therefore those which will be named to race are now sucklings. The first Bay Meadows Futurity will be decided at the fall meeting this season and will have a value of 0,000 added.
