MENOW WITHOUT A RIDER LEXINGTON, Ky., April 19. When asked concerning the suspension of Charles Kurt-singer by the Brookmeade Stable, Hal Price Headley stated today that all he knew was that his nephew, Duval Headley, had talked with Kurtsinger early last week to find out if he could come to Keeneland to ride Menow on Friday and that the following day he received a wire saying he could come. Headley stated that no jockey has been engaged for Menow in his race here Thursday or for the Blue Grass Stakes and the Kentucky Derby. The Keeneland stewards received notification from Algernon Daingerfield, assistant secretary of The Jockey Club, that Kurt-singer had been indefinitely suspended by the Brookmeade Stable, his contract employer.
