IRISH STEW THE WINNER Special Cablegram. EPSOM, England, April 19. The Great Metropolitan Stakes, run over the curving course of about two miles and a quarter here today, was won by Miss B. Jamesons Irish Stew. He defeated the Aga Khans Dahram-pur by one lerigth, with H. Lesters Holne Chase third, a neck away. There were thirteen starters. Pat Maher had the mount on the winner, which carried 113 pounds, including a five-pound penalty for winning the Thatcham Long Distance Handicap, two miles and one-furlong at Newbury early this month. In that event, Irish Stew beat Holne Chase by half a length.
