WINN INSPECTS DOWNS LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 19. Upon his return from Chicago, Col. M. J. Winn made a minute inspection of Churchill Downs and principally the many improvements, following which he stated that he w.as greatly pleased with changes made and that he believes patrons will obtain more enjoyment when at the famous track on crowded Derby days than in the past, if such were possible. Colonel, Winn is especially well satisfied with the new centerfield terraces and underpass and is convinced that under favorable weather conditions many thousands of persons will prefer to see the Kentucky Derby from that section. The centerfield enclosure will include the same accommodations to be found in the general admission section on the grandstand side of the track, such as betting facilities, concessions, rest rooms, etc.
