At the current writing Maxwell Howard, of Dayton, Ohio, has almost a 00,000 lead over the Pacific Coast Howard, the respective totals being 39,500 and 7,070. With 00,000 offers for big races flying all over the landscape this year, there is no way of predicting the outcome of the race. Maxwell Howard has the brilliant Stagehand, winner of the Santa Anita Handicap and Derby, racing in his colors, and Charles S. Howard has Seabiscuit.
