NEDAYR IN GOOD CONDITION Kilmer Star Demonstrates Fitness by Useful Mile Workout. Gallops Route at Belmont Park in 1:42 First Start of Year in Wood Memorial. JAMAICA, N. Y., April 19 Willis Sharpe Kilmers Nedayr, which had all his early preparation for the new season on the farm, was brought up to Long Island a well-advanced colt. That was evidenced at Belmont Park Sunday morning when the son of Neddie was sent along a handy mile in 1:42. He was a late development of last year, but when he rounded out his season by winning both the Pimlico Futurity and the Walden Handicap at Pimlico in November he at once became a Derby prospect of importance. All through this Sunday move the colt was in hand. There is no doubt of his readiness for the races. Like Fighting Fox, his first objective of importance is the Wood Memorial, to be run April 30. Another of the Kentucky Derby colts shown Sunday morning at Belmont Park was Redbreast, from the Greentree Stable. This fellow was sent along for a mile by "Bill" Brennan, and he also went handily in 1:42. He is also eligible for the Wood, and on this gallop promises to be fit and ready for that 0,000 prize. IMPORTED MARES. These were the most important moves for the Kentucky Derby eligibles over the weekend on Long Island, though several others were galloped along slowly. Yesterday morning Cant Wait was breezed three furlongs in :39, which suggests a more ambitious trial before long. Then at Aqueduct Sunday Mrs. Val Cranes Cauteleaux, also an eligible for the Derby but not eligible for the Wood, went a handy seven furlongs in 1:32, but he is not rated among the eligibles as having a remote chance of being sent to the post at Churchill Downs. It was a quiet week-end for the Fitzsim-mons hopes at Aqueduct, though yesterday morning he had the filly Anaflame out and she went an impressive seven furlongs in 1:29.
