T wheelingturf notes I • ® Henry Florentine will race here for the first time. Included in his string are those good campaigners More Poise and Squabble. Mr. Lee Kerge, prominent Miami Beach businessman and sportsman, has notified Walter H. Donovan, president of the West Virginia Jockey Club, that he will attend the opening at Wheeling Downs and will remain for at least a week. J. R. Carlock has dispatched from his Mount Vernon, Ohio, farm, several fresh thoroughbreds which include Dust Box. Army Surgeon and Wassail. The horses Lucky Lee. Mac Moon, Zoologist and Gray Eve arrived at Wheeling Downs and will race in the colors of W. H. Carrier.
