w _ 1 AURORA TURF NOTES | ♦- V J. T. Ireland, Edward and John Morrissey, starter at the Fox Valley Jockey Club, went on a short fishing trip to St. Charles Tuesday morning. Amos Wallin, trainer for the horses carrying the colors of W. C. Goodloe, and his own as well, is planning a trip to Goodloes Farm near Lexington, Ky., where he will pick up several horses to be campaigned through the summer season. Hughie Gatens, information window man at Aurora, plans a short vacation and trip at the close of the Fox Valley meeting before returning to duty at Arlington Park. Word was received at Aurora Tuesday of the death of Tom Scott, veteran horseman. Scott died in a New Orleans hospital early Monday morning. James Emery is sending Sky Cloud and Arctic Star to Fairmount with "Butsey" Hernandez, while the remainder of the Emery string will be transferred to Lincoln Fields. The stable heading for the Crete track will be headed by the Illinois Derby candidate Dolly Val. Alexander Schlenker, who returned to the saddle today as a full fledged jockey after a ten day suspension, was astride four mounts. He is under engagement to W. Day. W. Day, who left for his home in Madison-ville, Ky., to inspect his yearlings, is due back Sunday to supervise the shipment of his stable to Fairmount.
