,639 "DAILY DOUBLE Maiden Combination of Mr. Mickey, Cant Win Triumph at River Downs. Euclid LeBlanc Scores First Saddle Victory Aboard Mr. Mickey — Only One Ticket Is Sold. CINCINNATI, Ohio, May 24.— One patron of the good-sized crowd that took advantage of the first sunny day in nearly a week to visit River Downs this afternoon reaped a golden harvest when he or she coupled the maiden combination of Mr. Mickey and Euclid LeBlanc in the first race and the Texas-bred maiden Cant Catch in the second race. The ticket returned ,639.80 and had Miss Kentex or Oddesa Plucky been selected the second race pay-off would have been the same. Cant Catch, a son of Milton and Fair Catch, was a strongly supported second choice for the race. Just Too Sweet, which led the field of ten juveniles to the final furlong, being held in higher esteem. With Eddie DePrang aboard, Cant Catch was a trifle tardy in beginning and this permitted Just Too Sweet to establish a commanding lead during the opening quarter and Catalonia, Oddesa Plucky raced along in closest pursuit. After reaching the pace Just Too Sweet found the task too exacting over the heavy track and she tired with Catalonia moving into command. However, the winner came on to take command and draw clear in the last few strides. Euclid LeBlanc, a mite of a lad from the Louisiana LeBlanc family, and Mr. Mickey entered the winners circle for the first time in the first race which was run over six furlongs. Bindy was second and third went to Cactus Jack. The winner was saddled by a brother to the former rider, Norman LeBlanc. Another brother, H. LeBlanc, is one of the leading eastern riders. The winner paid 1.00.
