i 1 BEULAH PARK NOTES ? $ * Jack McAuliffe, trainer of the Skaal Stable, has announced that he will ship to Fair-mount Park within the next few days. Mc-Auliffes string includes Count Cotton, High Hand II., Safe Play and Jerdan. The horses being raced here by C. N. Finch will be shipped to Detroit at the conclusion of this meeting. Apprentice J. W. "Red" Wilson will accompany the stable. Charley Valentine will ship his large stable to Detroit. Valentine trains the horses of H. D. Shepard, Herb Penny, Mrs. E. H. Bretschneider and three of his own. Sam Wainwright has departed for Ascot Park where he will be in charge of the stalling of horses for the meeting that opens there on Saturday. B. H. Held left Tuesday night for Ascot to open the racing secretarys office. Tom Brown will leave Thursday for Ascot where he will serve as paddock judge. For the last few days of the meeting here, Albert Taney and J. H. Yerian will serve as patrol judges, replacing B. H. Held and W. R. Dahlstrom. Dahlstrom will depart for Lincoln Fields, Crete, 111. Tom Moran will act as clerk of scales for the last two days here as Herbert J. Kohl will go to Akron where he will serve as an associate steward. Joe Sylvester was suspended for the balance of the Beulah meeting for rough riding astride Ingle Nook in the eighth race Saturday. The suspensions of jockeys R. Creese and T. Dowell ended after Saturdays races. Both riders were on the ground for three days for disobedience at the post.
