PASTRY dropped back after the start, but improved his position steadily on the outside bore over after rounding the stretch turn, bothered KNIGHTS HAVEN slightly and then drew away under urging MASKER, on the inside from the start, was blocked by SEA VOYAGE rounding the stretch turn, was steered to the near outside between the leaders and came to the outside of KNIGHTS HAVEN in the final drive lhe latter was raced close up to the pace from the start, made a determined bid in the stretch after being bothered, then faltered near the finish. SEA VOYAGE was a forward factor all the way and saved ground 1.11 the turns, then faltered. FAIRY HILL was in close quarters between the leaders rounding the far turn COUNT STONE lacked early speed, but made up ground. CLARION CALL faltered badly under urging MANDINGHAM was shuffled lack after going a half mile. PALLEE began slowly but worked his way up and finished well under pressure. LADY ELGIN was placed under pressure after the start and showed an even effort. ST. ANNA had early speed but quit badly. YOUR BUDDY, from a slow beginning, closed ground. ANO-PHELES was well up early and then quit. KILLIAN, ALANFOX and SURE TOUCH were outrun. —
