TEA JESTER, away slowly, worked way up steadily on the outside and closed with a rush through the final quarter mile. HI-PEGGY closed with a rush through the final throe-eighths. ANCIENT ROME faltered after three-quarters. KINDRED SPIRIT quit. PRINCE PAGAN raced forwardly placed and, saving ground, had no mishaps. MISS TWINKLE met sharp interference leaving the back stretch and was forced to take up.
