LINDBERGHS STARTING FEAT. WAALHAVEN, Holland, Oct. 12. The flying colonel yesterday performed one of the strangest feats of his aviation career when he took off from Waalhaven airport, near Rotterdam, en route ta .Berlin. He and Mrs. Lindbergh climbed into the plane while it was in the hangar. Then Lindbergh gunned it out under its own power and took off for the German capital. To the astonishment of the airport staff, he did not have his wheels out of the hangar before getting into the air. His daring take-off was apparently intended to avoid newspapermen, who were anxious to question him on the Soviet charges. Lindbergh made an overnight stop at Rotterdam on a flight from Paris to Berlin.
