KEENELAND TURF NOTES Jockey Arthur Craig suffered minor cuts about the face and a slight shaking up when Jessie O. fell with him in the second race Tuesday. H. C. Wolfe, former trainer of the Motor City Stable, has been here several- days purchasing yearlings for his own account. Wolfe will ship his purchases to Hot Springs, Ark., Friday and break them for spring racing at Oaklawn Park. H. R. Pardue arrived with the five-year-old Hat Check and found quarters at the trotting track. The well balanced stable of Friedberg and Axton, in charge of Jack Hanover, came from Chicago. Manie OHara, Isolene, Bala Ormont, Montsin, Horace B. and Poetic made up the consignment. The last four are two year-olds. Price Hay is directing the training of Old Nassau, Dah He, Drift Along, Flying Lee, Superlee, Bourbon King, Supreme Speed, Heritage, Hants, Volitation, Jim Mike, Grand Pageant, Top Queen and Big Tim, which comprise the H. P. Headley stable here. In addition to training Jessie O. and Shelby King for his wife, C. S. Ormsby has taken over Rhimeda, Letswin and Congressman to condition for the Parkview Stable, Spread !for the account of S. M. Look and Sucre for O. D. Randolph. The horses were formerly trained by Tom B. Young. Nominations for the Sycamore Handicap, at six furlongs, to be run Saturday, close Thursday. The Kentucky Handicap, featured number Saturday for three-year-olds and upward, at one mile and one-eighth, also closes Thursday. John Daniels was an arrival from Latonia and took over the engagement book of jockey Earl Steffen. Apprentice J. Littrell reported sick and canceled his engagements on Wednesdays program. Double R., Royal Link and Busby, in charge of J. G. Angner, were moved to Keeneland. The horses were quartered at the trotting track.
