COLUMBUS DAY PARADE NEW YORK, N. Y Oct. 12. Five thousand Knights of Columbus participated today in Manhattan in a parade commemorating the 446th anniversary of the arrival of Christopher Columbus in the new world. A wreath was placed at the base of the discoverers statue in Columbus Circle.
