MUCH TROUBLE, in close quarters several times while racing on the inside, was forced to take up at mid-stretch and come to the outside of MISME, but easily took command when once in the clear to win handily. IDLE LAD lost much ground while making his move on the outside, but raced fairly well to the end. MISME had speed throughout and showed a good effort. MIDA R. made up much ground. CAREZZA had early speed, but raced wide. VALLEDISTO was done in the stretch after showing early speed. MODEL DAME tired. VERACIDAD and HEROIQUE broke poorly. Overweight Heroique, 5 pounds. HONEY CAR, outrun a trifle in the early stages, came very fast to find an opening after entering the final eighth, but was all out to hold TENACE. The latter lacked early speed, but came with a rush in the closing stages and would have won in a few more strides. PATRIOTIC was used up making the pace and tired near the end. ROCKWOOD was in close quarters while attempting to get through on the inside of PATRIOTIC on the far turn. TOP TAX made several moves and was tiring at the finish. PUDDIN seemed outclassed. PANSYS THIRD, in rather dose quarters after breaking from an inside post position, was bumped in the stretch while starting to make her run, but gained steadily on DONT FORGET to finish in a dead heat with the latter. DONT FORGET moved up to challenge NANAK shortly after entering the stretch and raced well to the finish. MAYSETTE closed much ground to show a good effort. NANAK quit in the stretch. TOWNSMAN, never far from the pace, came fast through the stretch on the outside to catch HIGH VOTE near the end and won narrowly in a drive. HIGH VOTE, closest to ALVISO in the early running, caught the latter in the stretch to open up a short lead, although holding on well could not resist the winner. ALVISO raced to the front at once and saved ground while making the pace, but tired near the end. GALLACLAY raced evenly. BOULEVARD was in close quarters in the stretch.
