HARRYS CHOICE, going in his best form and showing a liking for the going, rushed into the lead soon after the start, set the pace under steadying restraint and won with something left. VERY MUCH saved ground while following in closest pursuit of the pacemaker and held on with good courage. OHIO PRINCE worked his way up on the outside, responded well to strenuous urging and showed a good effort. HOBBYS GIRL made up some ground. PHANTOMS PRIDE tired when placed to pressure in the drive. FENG LU, taken under light restraint in the early stages, moved to the leaders with a rush in the last quarter, responded well to vigorous urging and wore down OGEE in the last few strides. OGEE forced the pace for a half mile, drew into command approaching the final quarter, but was unable to withstand the winner. SARAGON began slowly, worked his way up on the outside and closed in resolute fashion. KAI-FINN was much used in setting the pace for the first half mile and tired when placed to pressure. POLLY SHAW was well up throughout, but tired when placed to extreme pressure. WHOA BACK tired under urging. TAPPANAUGH began slowly and worked his way up on the outside. SPORTING MAUDIE, never far out of it, wont wide on the turns, continued gamely under urging and showed a good effort. GAY BIRD tired under vigorous urging in the last eighth. LITTLE MISTAKE was in close quarters in the early stages and failed to recover. HURRY HAWK acted badly at the gate, broke slowly, stumbled, fell on the first turn and unseated rider. EXCEED, well handled and displaying a liking for the going, disposed of MOBILE after a quarter, drew into the lead, but was no match for the winner. MOBILE had good speed from the start, was hard urged in an effort to keep up and tired in the drive. GANNONNIC, outrun for three-quarters, improved position rapidly thereafter and finished strongly.
