Boyle, of the Southern Maryland Agricultural Association, distributed condition books among horsemen for the thirteen-day meeting opening November 16, at Bowie. Jockey R. Eccard departed for Narragansett Park to finish out the balance of the meeting at the New England track. He will return here for the Bowie opening. Mrs. A. C. Compton arrived from her home in California and will remain several days to watch the horses that race for her husband perform. Frank Orsatti, well-known sportsman from California, arrived from the West Coast to attend the Maryland Horse Breeders Sales, to be conducted in the Pikesville Armory. Reservations for the Maryland Racing Writers Association dinner Thursday night have been made by Ral Parr, Charles J, McLennan, Edward Burke, Mort Hahoney, Jimmy Jones, Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, Charles S. Howard, Nick Wall, Alfred Robertson, Charles Kurtsinger, George Wool and M. N. Bond.
