OLYMPIC GAMES FOR DETROIT DETROIT, Mich., Dec. 6. Detroit was selected for the 1944 Olympic games by the American Olympic Association, now meeting in New York, Mayor Richard W. Reading announced today. Needed now is the official sanction of the International Olympic Committee. The 1940 games will be held in Finland.
