1 TANF0RAN TURF NOTES $ Eail Beezley is planning to ship Posilipo to Caliente to join the division of his string at that point in charge of F. E. Childs. The two-year-old Oscar Otis will soon undergo a throat operation. The youngster which gave signs of developing into a useful animal before making his racing debut is "touched in the wind" and owner H, T. Griffin hopes that surgery may remedy the ail-: ment. Maizie B., and Prince Pest which have been on the starters barred list for some time have been given an OK to start. Sun Portland has been placed on the stew-wards list because of soreness and will not be permitted to start until further notice. Trainer Eual Wyatt of the Mrs. J. F. Waters stable is shipping Golden Ivy to Caliente to join the other Waters horses now at that point in charge of Joe Luddy. Tanforan employees and horsemen will hold a get-together party at the 365 Club, San Francisco Sunday evening. Dinner, dancing and entertainment will be provided. Joe Hernandez who is in charge of the arrangements will act as master of ceremonies. Peter Hlavin who formerly raced Mep and LSergt. Hlavin is reported to be quite ill at his home in Alhambra, Calif. Hlavin has been ailing for the past couple months. The South American horses brought to this country by Horace Luro, have been registered at the secretarys office. They are Vino Puro, the property of Senor Luro and Palmar, Beti-Bet, Falerno and Desefucra, the property of Mrs. James F. Waters. Jockey W. Leishman who rode Mr. Blaze to victory in the Golden Gate Handicap has departed for Santa Anita. The boy will return to Tanforan to ride Mr. Blaze in the San Francisco Handicap. Jockey Frank Scheih left for Santa Anita to join the W. E. Boeing stable which now has a number of horses quartered at the Strub track.
