E. F. SIMMS FUNERAL RITES PARIS, Ky., Dec. 9. Brief and simple funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the home of his sister, Miss Lucy Blythe Simms, for Col. Edward F. Simms, noted sportsman and wealthy industrialist, who died Tuesday in Baltimore, after a long illness. The Rev Rhodes Thompson presided at the services, and at the grave, but a touching eulogy was delivered by John W. Jones, banker of nearby North Middletown, where the 2,800-acre Simms thoroughbred nursery is located. The large attendance at the services included many persons prominent in racing, several of whom came from distant points. ,
