DEDICATION, well up from the beginning and in hand for a half mile, came to, the outside for the drive and was up in the closing strides. GOOD OMEN made the pace without need of strong pressure, responded to urging after a half mile and just failed to last. FORE began to improve his position after a quarter, was vigorously handled after a half mile and finished strongly. BLACK RHAPSODY forced the pace under a snug hold, was put to good pressure on the stretch turn and tired in the final eighth. ALL LADY was outrun. ONA BOY broke well, was permitted to drop out of contention early and never threatened. WHITE CASTLE tired after a half mile. Scratched 69210 Sadie F., 105; 69210 Dinner Jacket, 111. THE THRUSH raced wide much of the way, responded to strong pressure in the last quarter and closed gamely. KATHERINE G. was hustled into a big lead after a quarter, then tired in the last eighth and might have Finished closer under better rating. DOLLY E. moved up stoutly after reaching the stretch, then gave way suddenly in the last eighth. CARRYING TIME .was blocked several times and never threatened. DUCMISS, well up and in hand for three-eighths, rallied only mildly when shaken up thereafter. BROADCASTER had no mishaps. BLACK ANNA quit after a half mile. CYNICAL was blocked on the second turn, was forced back and closed strongly when clear. WAR TRADE broke into BETHS BABY at the start, was outrun for five-eighths and made up ground fast thereafter. BETHS BABY, outrun early, made up ground after a half mile. ADORESS tired badly after showing good speed for three-quarters.. BRILLIANT ONE was through after three-quarters. AT HOME and MARTIN BOY were placed in close quarters on the second turn when JUST TOO SWEET moved up rounding the field. POWERS GOURAUD worked his way up between horses, responded readily to strenuous urging and was gaining rapidly on the winner in the late stages. PAY RACK saved ground while setting the pace under extreme pressure and tired in the drive. CHECKS, outrun to the final quarter, came wide entering the stretch and closed a big gap. HAPPY HELEN was much used forcing the pace during the first five-eighths and cave wav. MISS FIREFLY was unable to keep up. ALPENGLOW gave way suddenly in the last quarter. MORRIS GRINER, taken in hand early but never far back, moved up menacingly on the outside in the final quarter; then disposed of GLASBY in the last seventy yards. GLASBY, a strong factor from the start, assumed the lead approaching the final quarter, saved ground entering the stretch, but was unable to withstand the winner. CASINGHEAD, away fast, was taken under snug restraint rounding the first turn, was forced to race wide when moving up and showed a good effort. UNPARALLED lacked early -speed, encountered interference in the stretch when moving up and finished fast. WOODLANDER closed strongly. SWIFT SPOT was hard hustled to reach the lead after the first quarter, then gave way after three-quarters. GAY MAY was always outrun. Scratched 69214Prince Sador, 109; 69192Double R 107.
