I FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES I : 0 Johnny Nerud, who has been here since the start of the Fair Grounds meeting, announced that he will depart for Tropical Park within the next few days and remain in Florida for the balance of the winter. It is the intention of L. E. Ogle to augment the stable he already has at the Fair Grounds with three more horses, which are being rested in Maryland for a brief period. "Bud" Burmester, public relations counsel from Fort Worth, Texas, who spent the past three days in New Orleans at the Fair Grounds when not attending the convention of minor leagues, returned to the Lone Star State Wednesday night. J. J. Miller was an arrival from Shreveport with three horses which he will campaign at the Fair Grounds for the remainder of the winter season. The trio are Tunbridge, Amo Jay and Mad Rush. A request was" received from Harry "Jerry" Goldblatt for stabling accommodations for three horses, which at present are quartered in Louisville. Jerry Dolin, former jockey and for the past few years a jockey agent, is confined to Charity Hospital due to a stomach ailment. The illness, however, is not considered as extremely serious in its present state. Ten horses which Mrs. H. C. Rumage has at the Fair Grounds, are scheduled to be transferred to Tropical Park Friday by van. Those included in the consignment for the Florida track are Oddesas Pride, Towson, Musical Jack, Perfect One, Transen, Ingle Nook, Grace Whisk, Red Hay arid Curley Cue. According to word received from C. M. Feltner, he is desirous of sending a stable of sixteen horses to the Fair Grounds after the close of the current Charles Town meeting. Three yearlings are included in the group. Application has been made for names for the eleven yearlings in the stables of E. K. Bryson and T. J. Hill, according to G. Ray Bryson, who forwarded the cognomens to the registrar of The Jockey Club several days ago.
