TRIP WITHOUT A MISHAP LEXINGTON, Ky., Dec. 9. C. C. Van Meter, who has a good string in training at Keeneland, had a wire from Clifford Porter after his arrival at Hialeah Park, reporting a good, safe shipment of his string to Miami. Van Meter is the owner of Swift Singer, a black daughter of Haste Song Bird in the Porter string which may disclose herself to be among the fleetest two-year-olds to appear under colors at Miami. She tried highly for her owner at Keeneland.
