RIVER DOWNS RACING DATES COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 9. Dates asked by River Downs for 1939 have been formally approved by the Ohio State Racing Commission. River Downs will hold a forty-three day meeting, from May 20 to July 8, inclusive. The state of Ohio received 25,889.54 as its share of the mutuel play on Ohio race tracks in 1938, the annual report of the Ohio State Racing Commission reveals. Licenses and registrations, fines and application fees increased this amount to 39,142.99.
