TORRIO GETS 2y2 YEAES NEW YORK, N. Y., April 12. Federal Judge John W. Clancy yesterday sentenced John Torrio, racketeer, to two and a half years in prison for income tax evasion. Max D. Steuer, attorney, advised the court that the ex-Chicago gangster chieftain would re- lease to the government the 00,000 he put up for bail when arrested in 1936. Steuer said the government could do with it what it wished. Torrio concurred in the announcement. j
