To Ban Commuting Teachers, Daily Racing Form, 1939-04-27

TO BAN COMMUTING TEACHERS A bill introduced in the Illinois State Legislature by Representative John G. Ryan of Chicago would force all city, park district and school board employes to take up residences in the city. It is estimated that there are 5,000 school teachers who, at present, ■ reside outside the city but teach in the public schools here.
