BAY MEADOWS CHARITY DAY W. P. Kyne Announces Sunday, May 21 as Day — Program to Include Bay Meadows Handicap. SAN MATEO, Calif., April 26.— On the eve of the opening of Bay Meadows spring session, general manager William P. Kyne made the announcement that one Sunday of racing would be staged at the San Mateo track. The day will be May 21 and the entire proceeds will go to charity. Four San Francisco newspapers will have charge of the day and the profits will serve to assist the needy of the Bay district. The California Horse Racing Board is reported to have given its approval of one Sunday of racing for the worthy cause and in order that all may do their bit the free badge list will be suspended and an admission charge of 50 cents levied for the grandstand and for the clubhouse. The admission price has been reduced in order to lure a record crowd and it is expected that over 25,000 will attend.. . Just to throw all the strength back of the charity day and make it the greatest days racing- ever held in the "Bay area, Kyne has announced that he will run his big Bay Meadows Handicap on charity day. Despite a slight recent accident to the horse Kayak n., Kyne firmly believes that he will go post-ward in the race. Kayak II. suffered a three-inch gash on his leg recently, but the wound has healed and he will probably be ready to race again within a short tihie
