1 CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES t s e The Milky Way Farms two-year-old Chatted, a chestnut colt by Diavolo — Stone Chat, may be sent to Keeneland during the week to make his racing debut at that point, according to trainer Roy Waldron of Mrs. Ethel V. Mars pretentious stable, which is quartered at Churchill Downs. Placide Frigerio, track superintendent of the Louisiana Jockey Clubs Fair Grounds course at New Orleans, will view his first Kentucky Derby in several years, according to word received by J. E. Gregory. For several years Frigerios duties at Aurora prevented him from being at Churchill Downs on Derby Day. Ray Priddy has completed preparations for the vanning of his three horses to Fair-mount Park. The trio includes Through Fairly, Miss Diamond and Ann Gibb. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Young came from their home in the Blue Grass section to inspect the thoroughbreds he owns in partnership with Jack Rogers, and now under the supervision of S. Bryant Ott at Churchill Downs. The two-year-old bay colt Emancipator, the property of Mrs. M. M. Weil, was transferred from Douglas Park to Bashford Manor Farm, near Louisville, where the son of Livery will have the firing irons applied. Later he will be turned out for an indefinite period. Sam McPhersons Chanting, which arrived from New Orleans with a high temperature, responded quickly to treatment and is back in training at Douglas Park, according to her Knoxville, Tenn., owner and trainer. Mc-Pherson has only one other horse, Red Garter, for campaigning at Churchill Downs. Apprentice Eugene White has become affiliated with the Le Mar" Stock Farm and hopes to do some of the stables riding during the approaching season at Churchill Downs, which gets under way on Saturday. Tommy Marshall was an arrival from Miami, Fla., over the week-end. Although he is at present without racing material, he contemplates assembling a stable for racing on the Chicago circuit during the summer months. Marshall formerly handled a division of the Valdina Farm thoroughbreds. The horses under the supervision of Ross Higdon, Ralph Mcllvain and Jimmy Burnett will be returned to Douglas Park at the conclusion of the Keeneland meeting on Thursday. The stabling problem has become acute at Douglas Park and horsemen who shipped there without reservations have been requested to vacate.
