i PRESIDENT TO ENTERTAIN ROYALTY AT HIS HOME * ■» WASHINGTON, D. C, April 26.— President Roosevelt held a number of last-minute conferences today preliminary to a midnight departure for Hyde Park, where, over the week-end, he and Mrs. Roosevelt will entertain ranking members of the royal families of Norway and Denmark. Sunday the President will motor from Hyde Park to formally open the New York Worlds Fair with a speech which may have repercussions abroad. Text and tenor of this address will depend largely upon the nature of Chancellor Hitlers Friday reply to Mr. Roosevelts ten-year peace and parley proposal, according to White House attaches. The Roosevelt family home on the Hudson was chosen for entertainment of the visiting royalty with a thought that they could best relax there and at the same time enjoy participation in a typical American family life. Crown Prince Oslav and Crown Princess Martha of Norway will reach Hyde Park Friday afternoon, making the journey from New York aboard the White House yacht Potomac. Their majesties will remain as house guests of the President until Sunday morning, when they will motor to West Point for a luncheon and review en route back to the New York Fair, where the Norwegian exhibit wijl be dedicated - - Monday.
