I NARRAGANSETT PARK NOTES | 3 : . $ The Narragansett special from Boston will run in five sections on Saturday. Additional coaches will be attached to the race special from New York to avoid the crowding of this train, which brought an unexpected heavy load to Narragansett on opening day. Additional buses will also be added to care for the runs from nearby towns. A repetition of last weeks 35,000 crowd will find the transportation companies fully prepared. Humphrey S. Finney, field secretary of the Maryland Horse Breeders Association, Inc., notified the Narragansett Park management Wednesday that he has taken over the management of the horses of R. S. Clark and will also act as agent for Hon. Breckinridge Long. Mr. Finney, who is well known to horsemen through his long association with the breeding industry announced his intention of immediately applying for an agents license in Rhode Island. Ed Pons was a visitor, distributing blanks for Suffolk Downs. Danny Shea has taken first call on the services of apprentice W. Van Tassel. A younger brother, Norman Van Tassel, has been signed to a contract by Shea and made his riding debut late in the fall. Mrs. M. H. Charles has purchased the contract of apprentice John Merle from E. A. Summers. Jockey J. Bowen, who has been on the ground with a broken collar bone, will accept mounts Friday. Bowen is under contract to R. A. Coward. R. A. Coward has engaged Harry Krovitz to ride Be Jabbers in the Portsmouth Handicap Saturday. The L. H. Nimkoff stable has taken first call on apprentice D. Sena. Jockey J. Mastrianni, who has been confined to Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket, with pneumonia, has been released from the hospital and has returned to his home in Mechanicsville, New York, to convalesce.
