STRAIGHT THRU DECISIVELY Wins Beulah Park Feature by Seven Lengths From One Night — W. Page Biding Star. GROVE CITY, Ohio,. April 26.— R. Need-hams Straight Thru scored a most decisive victory over One Night in the Cronins Corner Purse, featured offering at Beulah Park this afternoon. Gold Publicity and One Night alternated in the lead to the turn for home, where Straight Thru challenged and drew into a commanding lead. One Night saved second place from the resolutely finishing Hastada. Ladfield, the favorite, was never a factor, trailing his field throughout. Mrs. Dan Cronin made the presentation of the trophy to J. Baumbach, the trainer of Straight Thru, following the running of this event. Jockey W. Page was again in the limelight, piloting two winners, Double Nugget and Jackemma, and is leading the winning riders list here by a comfortable margin. Although the races were contested over a slow track, the conditions otherwise were favorable and the attendance showed improvement over yesterday. I. J. Collins, former Ohio state racing commissioner, was a visitor, as was Gilbert Haas, an official of the North Randall track at Cleveland. Spanlee came from behind in the stretch to win the second event, but Chestnut Bur, Thurway, Jackemma and Double Nugget led for much of the trip in their respective races and won by comfortable margins.
