1 FAIRM0UNT PARK NOTES | s e George Cimerak arrived Tuesday and began dressing up the approximate odds board for the inspection day program next Sunday. Tracy Reno, too heavy to ride, will make the book this spring of Melvin Knight. However, he will continue to exercise horses for Knights contract employer, Dan Hardy. G. Keeton got in with three horses, including the fine campaigner Hit and Run, an eleven-time winner in 1938. Harry Fausett, who formerly trained the great sprinter Leading Article here, also unloaded a trio. Charles J., winner of eleven races in 1938, is the star of the string. Be Discreet, a half-brother of Leading Article, also commands some respect. Ed Shipp expects his horses to have a highly successful season. "All fifteen head are training nicely and since they have always been partial to the local strip I expect a banner season," the Columbus turfman said.
