The latter, rushed into a good early lead, gave way to SORTIES SON approaching the stretch, came again under strong handling " and "finished on even terms with SORTIES SON. PAY-OFF IN ALL DEAD HEATS In the case of any and all dead heats, wagers made away from the track the chart prices should prevail if track odds were offered and accepted. Where house odds were accepted, the procedure should be as follows: If was bet on each horse and b to 1 laid on one horse, the pay-off should be .00 to the payer and S2.00 to the layer; if 2 to 1 was laid on the other, the pay-off should be .50 to the player and .50 to the layer.
